DENVER (October 14, 2025)— More than 20 Colorado craft breweries will compete in a high-energy kick the keg competition on Friday, November 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Call to Arms Brewing Company (4526 Tennyson St, Denver, CO 80212) at their outdoor tent to support local breweries. 100 percent of proceeds will benefit the Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG), a nonprofit trade association with a mission to promote, protect, and propel independent craft breweries in the State of Craft Beer through advocacy, community, education, and public awareness. Tickets, which cost $40 and include fees, are available now online. Day of tickets, if any are left, cost $50. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, as availability may be limited at the door.

“Independent craft breweries are a cornerstone of Colorado culture—they fuel local economies, create jobs, and bring people together. But right now, many are facing unprecedented challenges which is why supporting the Colorado Brewers Guild is more important than ever,” says CBG Communications Manager Carrie Knose Wilson. “Events like Kick the Keg help raise funds so that the Guild can continue to support our local craft breweries through legislative and marketing efforts.”

Keg tapping begins promptly at 2 p.m. Each participating brewery will bring one full keg, and the first to empty their keg wins $500. Attendees can expect an afternoon filled with activities beyond the main competition. Early arrivals will have the opportunity to decorate their keg cups with provided materials, and one lucky participant who receives the final pour from the winning keg will take home their choice of two Early Entry tickets to Collaboration Fest (April 2026, Westminster) or two VIP tickets to Colorado Brewers Rendezvous (July 2026, Salida).

Participating breweries can be found on the evnet website. More breweries to be added daily.

“As we prepare to close our doors on December 23, we’re filled with gratitude for the Colorado craft beer community that has supported us along the way,” says Call to Arms Brewing Owner Chris Bell. “Hosting this fundraiser for the Colorado Brewers Guild is our way of giving back to the industry that gave us so much. We may be closing, but the spirit of craft beer lives on and we’re proud to raise one more pint for a worthy cause.”

Keep the party going! Even if folks aren’t participating in the competition, Call to Arms will be open all day for regular service inside the taproom.
