What’s the Hype?

It’s a high-stakes, high-fun showdown where 20+ incredible Colorado breweries bring their A-game—and one full keg—to see who can empty their keg first! But this isn’t just about bragging rights (though there will be plenty of that!). Every beer poured is a win for the whole Colorado craft beer scene, as this is a fundraiser for the Colorado Brewers Guild. That’s right—drinking beer to support more beer. It’s the ultimate beer karma! 

The Lowdown

• When: Saturday, September 12th, 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Make sure to arrive by 1:45pm to get in before kegs are tapped at 2:00pm!
• Where: The party’s at Urban Animal Beer Co (downtown location), in their back parking lot. 
• Why: To have some fun while raising money for the Colorado Brewers Guild.
• The Prize: The triumphant brewery that Kicks the Keg first walks away with a cool $500!

• • Keg Cup Bling: Get there early and let your creative flag fly! We’re providing the tools for you to bedazzle your keg cups before the fun begins. Sparkles, stickers- the tackier, the better! 
  • The Fun: Watch the action unfold as 20+ kegs get drained in an epic two-hour dash.
  • Attendees: The person who gets the very last pour from the winning keg walks away with their choice of two tickets to a signature CBG event! Choose from: Two Early entry tickets to Collaboration Fest (March 2027, Westminster) or two VIP tickets to the Colorado Brewers Rendezvous (July 2027, Salida). Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
