The Colorado Brewers Guild’s Craft Beer Lover’s Holiday Gift Guide

The holiday season is upon us! As you navigate through Black Friday sales and cyber deals, we encourage you to support your local, independent craft brewer. Colorado craft brewers have delicious beer to share at your next gathering and gifts for hosts, stocking stuffers, and more. Here are a few standouts to get you started!

6 & 40 Brewery & Taproom – 300 KPH
This Baltic Porter was aged for a short while in bourbon barrels. This smooth, chocolate-forward beer clocks in at an approachable 8.6% ABV and is a great addition to 6 & 40’s barrel-aged series. Available right now on draft and in 500-milliliter bottles.

Bruz Beers – World of Belgium Beers Tasting
A guided tasting by our Co-founder and Brewmaster, Charlie, of the major categories of Belgian beers. During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to taste more than a dozen Belgian beer styles as you learn the history and characteristics of each. One is hosted each month at our main brewery and tasting room on Pecos Ave or our taproom at Bruz Off Fax from 11:00am to 1:30pm. Tickets cost $30 and you can reserve your spot here.

Copper Kettle Brewing Company – Snowed In Series
Snowed In is Copper Kettle’s Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Oatmeal Stout series. The series includes five flavors made with fresh and local (when possible!) ingredients to give each flavor its unique taste. Snowed In is dark, velvety smooth, and a boozy stout that is perfect for winter and holiday time. Copper Kettle barrel-aged Snowed In for 6+ months before they dosed each flavor so there are strong notes of Bourbon. Each gift box is $100 and comes with five cans – one 19.2-ounce can of each flavor (Mocha, Maple, Vanilla, Cherry, Coconut), as well as a branded Snowed In glass.
This is the only time of year you will be able to find all five Snowed In flavors available for sale at one time. The Snowed In Gift Box will be available for purchase at the Copper Kettle taproom starting Friday, November 25 (Black Friday) during their cellar sale.

Great Divide Brewing Company – Hibernation Ale and Gingerbread Yeti

Hibernation Ale
2022 marks the 27th anniversary of HIBERNATION ALE, our celebrated winter tradition since 1995. A classic English-style old ale, we forgo the holiday spices in favor of a robust, dry-hopped ale featuring a malty richness balanced with a complex hop profile. Hearty and warming in character, when winter approaches, it’s time for Hibernation. Available on draft and as a 12oz 6-pack cans; 8.7%.

Gingerbread Yeti Imperial Stout – NEW
When Yeti is not busy brewing big, bold imperial stouts, he can often be found in the kitchen baking up a batch of his preferred seasonal treat…gingerbread cookies. Recently, Yeti had an aha moment—why not combine the two!? With an expertly blended mix of spices, honey and vanilla, the end result is smooth and aromatic and sure to have you nostalgic for gingerbread houses and cookie characters with icing features. Available on draft and as a 19.2oz can; 9.5%

Holidaily Brewing Co. – Santa’s Nightcap
Available now on draft and in 22-ounce bottles at both Holidaily locations, Santa’s Nightcap is a Gluten-Free Bourbon Oak-aged Imperial Stout using barrels from State 38 Distilling. This holiday beer touts warm bourbon notes and a smooth, chocolate finish.

Horse & Dragon Brewing Co. – Winter Lights
Bid farewell to autumn and welcome winter with this full-flavored, complex winter warmer. Sweet and spicy aromas of candied orange, citrus and spice start this beer off with a bang. As you sip, pleasant hop bitterness and spicy rye flavors temper initial caramel and alcohol sweetness. Full-flavored yet smooth-drinking, this winter warmer lives up to the style’s name, keeping you rosy-cheeked through any weather a Colorado winter can concoct! This beer is available on draft and in package (16-cans, 32- or 64-ounce crowlers) at the Horse & Dragon taproom, as well as at several liquor stores throughout Colorado. ABV: 8.1%.

LUKI Brewery – Full Moon Shadows
A Stout for the beginning of the holiday season! This beer is served through LUKI’s nitro tap and enhances an incredibly rich malt bill that features British Pale Ale, a mixture of dark crystal malts, chocolate rye, and oats to smooth out the palate. LUKI is calling this a winter stout, as it has the right amount of flavor complexity to pair with anything from a nightcap after a big meal to cozying up next to a fire. Available on draft at LUKI Brewery.

WeldWerks Brewing – Man Salted Oreo Medianoche
Little Man Salted Oreo Medianoche is WeldWerks’ latest collaborative effort with their good friends at Little Man Ice Cream – but with a twist! To follow up on the success of the original release, Little Man Salted Oreo Stout, the duo decided to give WeldWerks’ flagship barrel-aged stout the same Salted Oreo treatment. They started with a blend selected from batches of Medianoche aged for 22-36 months in freshly emptied Blanton’s 15-year and seven-year bourbon, Thomas H. Handy six-year rye, Sazerac 15-year rye, Weller six-year wheated bourbon, and New Riff four-year bourbon barrels. After barrel-aging, the beer was finished with Oreos, sea salt, and Madagascan vanilla beans. $30 per bottle (2 per customer). Little Man Salted Oreo Medianoche is available to purchase via Eventbrite and picked up at WeldWerks Brewing Co. by Dec. 11.
