With many occasions for gatherings with friends and family on the horizon, we rounded up some must-haves to bring to the table. From a two-time World Beer Cup winner that’s all bourbon barrel-aged goodness to a smoked beer that an OMF brewer traveled to Norway to learn how to brew, consider these beers to liven up your holiday events.

Diebolt Brewing – Denver

Available now, this two-time World Beer Cup winner is a Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout that has been aging in barrels for 9 months. This smooth hit is climbing the charts with notes of dark fruit, bourbon and espresso that crescendo into a velvety chocolate, vintage port and oaky bourbon beat, then dances to a bittersweet finish. Available on draft and in 16-ounce cans at Diebolt’s taproom.

Goat Patch Brewing – Colorado Springs

Tart Cranberry Ale
This tart and refreshing ale is made with orange peel and lots of cranberries. At 6.5% ABV, the beer is designed to pair with large meals and family. Available on draft and to-go in crowlers and growlers.

LUKI Brewery – Arvada Mayan Gold Stout The magic of Mexican chocolate. Move over lactose, the bittersweet flavor and texture can’t be matched. Add in a bit of cinnamon and some slight heat from Chile de árbol and this 6.2% ABV stout is a unique delight. Available on draft at LUKI Brewery in December as well as to-go in crowlers.

It’s always a good idea to have lager for breakfast. This German-style dunkel is full of biscuit, caramel, and a touch of chocolate, has a light and crisp mouthfeel, and cinnamon and vanilla to give a sweet Cinnabon finish. 6.2% ABV

Our Mutual Friend Brewing – Denver

Fans of smoked beers, this one’s for you! This Norwegian-Style Ale is made with barley that is grown and malted by Colorado Malting Company that is then smoked over European-sourced alderwood. Fun fact: OMF head brewer Jan Chodkowski traveled to Norway to learn more about this style of beer and malt made in the region. Available in 16-ounce cans and on draft starting on Dec. 16 (OMF’s anniversary).

P.S. Word on the street is that OMF is cooking up a collaboration with their friends at WeldWerks Brewing and sources say it’s another smoked beer—this one has marshmallow and has malt smoked with Medianoche barrel staves. This beer may also make an appearance at OMF on Dec. 16.

Quadrillion Stars – Barrel Aged Belgian Dark Strong
This unique Belgian style ale has a deceptively high ABV. This collab beer was a gold medal winning beer from the annual competition of the Liquid Poets home brew club and aged for six months in Balcones bourbon barrels. Bourbon-forward and packed with over 30 pounds of Belgian rock sugar for a smooth and sweet finish perfect for sipping in front of the fire. 9.6% ABV

WeldWerks Brewing – Greeley

This 7.1% Milk Stout, which is brewed with Speculoos Cookie Butter, Speculoos Cookies, Vanilla and Milk Sugar, is an absolute treat in a glass and will be available for consumption in early Dec. Available on draft and WeldWerks and in 16-ounce cans at participating retailers.
