Skiers can take a ride on the gondola and look below to see blue lakes and fellow skiers on the chairlift, while others make their way down the slopes. Usually signaling the end of the season, many Colorado skiing areas hold these events to bring people together and celebrate. The goal is to get all the way across the pond on your skis, which proves to be a challenge for many. The energy is vibrant, silly, and light hearted, with many participants wearing costumes during their attempt.
