The Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG) promotes, protects, and propels independent craft breweries in the State of Craft Beer through advocacy, community, education, and public awareness. The CBG is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to manage membership renewals, recruitment, and onboarding and to maintain the Guild’s membership records.

OVERVIEW

The primary function of the Membership Coordinator is to act as the liaison between the Colorado Brewers Guild and its members—both brewery and allied trade—with a focus on answering queries and maintaining membership records. 

The Membership Coordinator will report directly to the CBG Executive Director, and together, they will manage the growth of the Guild membership for all membership types: Brewery, Brewery in Planning, and Allied Trade Partners (ATP). 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Membership

    • Manage and process renewals and new membership applications
      • Collect and track membership dues
      • Send welcome information to new members 
      • Send renewal reminders
    • Maintain and update membership records
      • Maintain membership database
      • Maintain and update email lists based on membership
      • Review LED (Liquor Enforcement Division) list monthly to ensure up-to-date list of all breweries in Colorado
      • Maintain closed member Facebook group membership list
    • Work with Executive Director and the Membership Committee to develop and implement strategies to recruit new members
    • Organize membership happy hours and meetings
    • Participate in the Membership Committee as necessary
    • Support the updating of membership marketing materials
  • Administrative

    • Answer website inquiries (from members, potential members and sponsors, and the general public) or assign to other Guild employees as necessary
    • Administrative tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly motivated with the ability to think creatively and take initiative
  • Very well organized with great attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service, writing, and editing skills
  • Industry knowledge and a passion for independent Colorado craft beer 
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office/Google Drive (including Docs and Sheets)
  • Previous experience in member management, sales, or recruitment a plus
  • Must perform most work duties in Denver 
  • Be able to attend occasional events on evenings and weekends
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • 21 years of age or older

PAY AND HOURS

  • 15-25 hours per week
  • $16-$20 per hour, depending on experience
  • Flexible hours and remote work opportunities
